v13.2 is out: iCalendar export and sync with Google Calendar, Apple Calendar & more

Dear users,

What’s New in v13.2?

For your calendar views, you now have two additional buttons: "iCal" and "'Generate iCal URL".

iCal Button

The "iCal" button allows you to export your data (events, meetings, ... ) by generating an iCalendar (.ics) file. The generated file can be imported into any calendar application that supports the iCalendar format (e.g., Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, Home Assistant, etc.).

Generate iCal URL button

The "Generate iCal URL" button creates a unique URL that provides the same iCalendar feed but can be subscribed to by external calendar clients. This means that other applications can stay synchronized with the DaDaBIK calendar view (including any filters applied when the URL was generated).

This opens the door to many new use cases and integrations. For example:

1) Managing project timelines in DaDaBIK while keeping your personal calendar automatically updated.

2) Integrating DaDaBIK with home automation systems (e.g., triggering smart actions based on scheduled events).

3) Creating shared event calendars on your own DaDaBIK-powered internal tool for teams or communities

There is a dedicated chapter in the documentation, you can see all the details there.

Demo

If you want to see the "iCal" button in action, you can check our ERP DEMO, in particular the meetings table.

The "Generate iCal URL" feature, instead, is not enabled in the online demo.

This "iCal" export button is available in DaDaBIK Enterprise and Platinum, the "Generate iCal URL" button in the Platinum edition only.

DaDaBIK 13.2 also contain other improvements, changes and fixes (also security-related). As usual, for the complete list, check the change log
